The Age of Coexistence
Centuries ago, humans and non-humans lived in harmony. Societies were fully integrated, with fair trade, mutual respect, and relationships of all kinds existing between species without overt bias. Violence was seen as an individual act, not a species-wide trait.
The Great Schism
About three centuries ago, an extremist group, "The True Keepers of Humanity," began spreading propaganda born from a theorized inferiority complex. This misinformation campaign successfully turned humans against their neighbors, leading to violent purges and forcing non-humans into hiding for over 200 years.
The Age of Forgetting
With non-humans gone from public life, their existence faded into myth and folklore. The perpetrators of the Schism fell silent, and factual records were dismissed as fantasy. For generations, humanity lived unaware that the "monsters" in their stories were real and living in secrecy.
The Revelation and the Clause
Over a century ago, a long-lived vampire, remembering the time of peace, revealed the truth of the non-human plight to the government. This brave act led to the Interspecies Preservation Clause, which granted official protection to all species and began the process of restoring a fragile peace.
A New Foundation
Mythos University was founded upon the principles of this new era. It serves as a sanctuary and a beacon of hope, created to ensure the mistakes of the past are never forgotten and to forge a new, unified future where all species can once again learn and thrive together.

The Interspecies Preservation Clause is the cornerstone of modern law, guaranteeing fundamental rights, protections, and equality for all sentient species. It forms the ethical foundation of our curriculum and community. The act ensures that the biases of the past are never repeated.

Class 1: Verbal Offenses
The least severe violations, which exclusively involve verbal abuse. This includes bigotry, species-related insults, slurs, and non-violent harassment.
Class 2: Non-Violent Stalking & Harassment
Covers non-violent stalking for physical, romantic, or platonic reasons. Punishments are heightened if the stalking involves property damage or breaking and entering.
Class 3: Minor to Moderate Physical Harm
Involves inflicting minor-to-moderate physical harm without premeditation. Injuries include bruising, cuts, welts, and sprains that require medical treatment.
Class 4: Severe Harm & Involuntary Manslaughter
Covers premeditated violence causing moderate injuries, unplanned violence causing severe harm (e.g., broken bones, burns), and involuntary manslaughter.
Class 5: Premeditated Murder & Mass Casualty
The most severe class. This includes premeditated murder, unplanned mass casualty events, or any murder involving torture or excessive cruelty.
