Class 5: Premeditated Murder & Mass Casualty +

Human Offenses

  • Mentally Unwell: Sent to a high-security mental institution for life, with mandatory medication and therapy.

Non-Human Offenses

  • Containment: Medication is used to subdue and weaken inmates to prevent aggression.
  • Release: Similar conditions to humans, requiring significant personal growth. Lifelong probation upon release.
  • Mentally Unwell: Confined to a species-specific mental institution for life with specialized diets and care.
Special Provisions & Case Considerations +

Certain factors require special legal consideration due to the unique biological and societal differences between species.

Age & Lifespan Adjustments

  • Sentences for non-humans with lifespans significantly different from humans are scaled to be equivalent in severity. For example, a 50-year sentence for a human might translate to a 500-year sentence for a species with a 1000-year lifespan.

Inhibitory Control (e.g., Shifters)

  • Non-humans who commit murder while in a shifted state where inhibitions are uncontrollable are handled differently. The case focuses on accountability, containment, and management of their condition rather than purely punitive measures.

Non-Human Dietary Needs (e.g., Vampires)

  • For species that require sustenance from humanoids, such as vampires, Mythos University has a strict but fair system in place. We provide a regulated and ethical source of nutrition through official channels, including blood banks supplied by willing donors and synthetic options. This is the only acceptable way to meet these dietary needs on campus.
  • If a student bypasses this system and causes harm, the case is handled differently from other offenses. Instead of a standard prison sentence, the individual will be permanently housed in a secure residence with others of their kind. These facilities are designed to safely manage residents who cannot control their predatory instincts, providing for their needs while guaranteeing they are no longer a threat to the public. The focus is on humane containment and management, not just punishment.
